　ドメイン（独自ドメイン）とはホームページのＵＲＬのこと。
　例えばヤフーだったらＵＲＬは「http://www.yahoo.co.jp/」になります。
　この「http://」の後ろの部分にある「www.yahoo.co.jp」の部分こそヤフーだけが持っている専用のＵＲＬ（＝独自ドメイン）になります。
　ヤフーが持っているので他の人は当然このＵＲＬを使えません。
　 つまり独自ドメインとは、自分だけの専用のＵＲＬのこと。
　なお、独自ドメインは早いもの勝ちですので、地名や苗字、固有名詞の殆どが既に取得されている可能性があります。

　自分の場合は、①color.jp ②icolor.jp ③aicolor.jpを取得したかったのですが、残念ながら取得できませんでした。
